As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for executing routine maintenance tasks, providing support for basic application upgrades, and collaborating with networking vendors. Summary of Essential Job Function:
· Execute routine infrastructure maintenance tasks: Perform regular checks and maintenance activities to ensure the stability and reliability of IT systems.
· Provide support for basic application upgrades, deployments, and evaluations: Assist in the implementation of routine application updates and contribute to the evaluation of new software solutions.
· Collaborate with networking vendors for seamless integration: Work closely with external vendors to facilitate the integration of networking solutions and troubleshoot basic networking issues.
· Offer first-tier escalation support for helpdesk operations: Provide initial support and troubleshooting assistance to the helpdesk team, escalating issues as needed.
· Develop foundational knowledge of IT infrastructure principles: Build a solid understanding of fundamental IT infrastructure concepts and technologies.
· Assist in troubleshooting and resolving basic technical issues: Identify and address basic technical problems, collaborating with team members as needed.
· Participate in regular system updates and patch management: Contribute to the planning and execution of routine system updates and patch deployments.
· Monitor and report on the health of IT systems: Keep an eye on system performance and generate reports to assess the overall health of IT systems.
· Maintain documentation of configurations and processes: Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to ensure a reliable reference for future tasks.
· Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging technologies: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in IT infrastructure to contribute to continuous improvement.
Minimum Requirements:
· BA/BS degree in CS or Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience; and
· At least 3-5 years of experience.
