Position Overview
The Help Desk Support role involves providing IT support across multiple locations, ensuring maintenance of IT equipment, and resolving technical issues for end users. This position will be responsible for troubleshooting various devices, including PCs, wireless handhelds, thin clients, printers, and MACs. The role also includes remote support for multiple locations, with direct reporting to the IT Manager of the Services Support Desk.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Supporting centers across the network with daily projects and activities as directed.
  • Maintaining IT equipment and troubleshooting issues with PCs, handheld devices, printers, MACs, and other end-user devices.
  • Handling multiple customer requests simultaneously and providing excellent customer service via phone and email.
  • Following standard Deskside operating procedures, accurately updating tickets in tracking software.
  • Collaborating with team members across the business to escalate or resolve tickets quickly.
  • Leading installation, configuration, and maintenance efforts for computer operating systems, with an emphasis on macOSX.
  • Developing an understanding of IT operations, related systems, and business processes.
  • Maintaining knowledge of operating systems and application software to deliver high-level support.

Basic Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in computer science or 3-5 years of work experience in the specialty area, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting integrated and interdependent computer systems, particularly macOSX.
  • Ability to prioritize work based on department and production objectives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven ability to lead technical efforts in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong ownership of work with limited supervision.
  • Familiarity with IT systems, applications, and business-related processes.
